Do I need AI to use it?

No. DMRealm is built to be useful without AI, and better with it when you choose. AI output always lands as a private draft first — you decide what becomes canon.

Which game systems does it support?

The core tools — wiki, maps, journals, relationships — are system-neutral. For rules content, DMRealm ships with built-in catalogs of items, creatures, and character options for fifth-edition fantasy play, covering both the 2014 and 2024 rules via their System Reference Documents, and flexible stat blocks let you track any other system freeform.

Where does the rules content come from?

Built-in catalogs draw on the freely licensed System Reference Documents (SRD 5.1 and SRD 5.2.1), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license with full attribution on the Licenses & Attributions page. Your own worlds, house rules, and homebrew stay yours.

Can players see my secrets?

Only what you publish. Visibility runs from public and unlisted down to private, DM-only, group, and player-specific — future reveals and DM notes stay hidden until you say otherwise.

Which virtual tabletops can I export to?

DMRealm prepares generic JSON, image, token, and Universal VTT bundles that travel to the tools your table already uses. No unofficial integrations are promised.

Does DMRealm replace my virtual tabletop?

No — DMRealm is the prep and worldbuilding layer that sits beside your table's tools. You keep running sessions wherever your group already plays; DMRealm keeps the campaign connected between sessions and packs maps, tokens, handouts, and data into bundles that travel.

No. DMRealm is an independent product and is not affiliated with Dungeons & Dragons, Wizards of the Coast, or Hasbro. Your worlds are your own.

Private campaigns get room to be serious — eerie, tragic, personal. Public pages are different: publishing is review-first, permission-aware, and supports content warnings.
